A Quick Hello & A Makeover!

Hello, my blogger friends! I’ve been busy getting ready for our son’s graduation and farewell party but I wanted to say hi!  I hope everyone is doing wonderful.   So in addition to getting ready for the party, I also decided to paint the dresser and bed in our bedroom!  Imagine how busy I was! I was painting, cleaning, you know how that is.   Dh wasn’t too happy at me painting the furniture.  Once I finished it, he was very happy and proud of me!  It looks great!!  I love it!

Here is a before of the dresser.  IMG_3265

And drum roll please!! Here is the after!  I used a paint color called Cottage White by Behr.  IMG_3297

The headboard! IMG_3298

Both pieces! IMG_3301

And a close-up of the dresser!IMG_3304

I’m planning on changing the bedding too and wall decor! I want the romantic look now.  Roses, romance, femininity, etc.   Dh said it’s all up to me. ;)  Soooo……….  I am looking forward to changing the theme in our bedroom.

So what do you all think of the transformation?

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,

Sandra

It looks GREAT! What a difference white paint makes! It's a lot of work but the results make it all worth it!

I just stumbled upon your blog. Very nice transformation. Everything looks so much better (crispier, is that a word?) in white.

Dear Sandra...

Years ago my hubby frowned at me painting anything WOOD. Now...my entire house but one room (which is on the list) is painted. Not long ago I painted my four poster bed my favorite Cottage White and it transformed my room. I LOVE IT NOW! It was cherry wood for 25 years and now I'm in love with it all over again.

RE-PURPOSE is my favorite word!

:) :) :)

LOVE WHAT YOU DID! WHOOO HOOO for you!

Beautiful makeover! Isn't it amazing what a little paint will do. I have a bedroom set that DH picked out and I hate the color of the stain. I think it's time for some paint. :)

Hi Sandra,
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I love the new look of your bedroom furniture.
It is alot of work painting furniture, mirrors, etc. but well worth the work.
I look forward to stopping back & seeing more pictures of your bedroom makeover.

Wow they look like new! So pretty! What a nice DH you have! If I tried to bring any flowers etc into the bedroom mine would move into the guestroom!

I cannot believe you found time to paint furniture on top of all the graduation plans! What a woman! I love the white, by the way.
