Hi everyone! How is your Monday so far? I hope your day is wonderful full of happiness. :)
I am linking this post to DIY Tuesday! Have you visited any of the wonderful blogs that participate in DIY Tuesday? So many great ideas!
I made a tassel using Marty's instructions. Thank you Marty!
Last night I decided to try my hand at making a tassel like Marty from http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ She had a wonderful (and easy) tutorial on making a tassel using a thread spool. Here is her post containing her tutorial.
I had an empty black spool and I am sooo glad that I hadn’t chunked it into the trashcan!
I used different sized ribbons. Some of the ribbon was from the Christmas ribbon H.L. had. It looks perfect for Valentine’s Day. :)
It was a very easy project. Just be careful as your are gluing the ribbon onto the spool. Oh! Another thing to be careful…..make sure that the ribbon you are using is facing the right side! I had to take a couple (more like four of them) of ribbons off because I had glued the wrong side! (blushing here)
Have a wonderful Monday and Ta Ta For Now. :)

Sandra, I am just so impressed. Your tassel is just gorgeous and I absolutely love all of the ribbons you used. You did such a beautiful job. Hurrah for you!!!!! See I said it was easy. I love your wonderfu little roses on top too. Ok, now let's make some more. Don't you think these will make wonderful gifts too? Thanks for trying it. You really did a great job. Hugs, Marty

Wow! You did a great job, especially for your first time! I think I'm going to have to link up too and see if I can "cut it". Have a blessed week!
Sandra, that turned out beautiful! Love the colors.
Hi Sandra, thanks for your prayers for Mam, she is in hospital tonight and has been given morphine for her pain. I will keep my blog updated.
Love your ribbon tassel, I bought a tutorial from The Nester a couple of months ago but have only had time to make one so far. I do want more around the house, it's just a matter of getting the supplies and finding the time ;-)

I am so impressed! I have wanted to try my hand at a tassel but it is still on my to-do list. Yours turned out fantastic; do you want to make more?
The tassels would look so great in my old house. If I didn't dread dusting them I'd make a few for myself. Great gift idea though!
Sandy
