Hi everyone! I hope y’all are having a good week! Thanksgiving Day is coming up! Are you headin’ out to the stores to get everything you need for the holiday? I am! I have just a few more things to buy and that’s it. The turkey is bought and stored away for now. Pecan and pumpkin pies are ordered. We used to make them ourselves but the last few years we have chosen to just buy them. So much easier!
Anyway, I wanted to show you what we worked on this weekend. I had this idea a while back to spray paint these two fixtures in one of my favorite colors…..Oil Rubbed Bronze. Hubby finally had a chance to take these off so that I could get to town with my spray paint. Woohoo!!!! Let’s start out with the chandelier in my mini dining room. It used to be brass! Brass is so out of date, isn’t it? :)
Here is a before picture:
Here it is in all of its brassy self. ha ha! This is how I decorated it last year for Christmas .
And after:
My sweet hubby hanging it back up after I spray painted it. So thankful he is such a patient man! He is always ready to help my crafty self! Ha ha!!
It looks so much better! Love ORB paint!
Luuuuvvvv it!!!
This little light also got a makeover. I don’t have a before picture but you can imagine it in brass. blaahhh……. Look at it now. :)
Here it is close up. Woohooness!
So there you have it! Spray paint is so easy to use.

I love it! I'm going to do the same thing to my el cheapo brass fixture over the Christmas break.
Wow! What a fabulous job!
The difference is remarkable!
I have been thinking of doing the same thing and now you got me convinsed!
I love your chandelier now it looks just gorgeous!

God bless the inventor of ORB spray paint! :)
Beautiful! Makes me rethink brass ones I see at the thrift store!
Hi Sandra!
I am always amazed at the transformation of spray paint! I love how *new* your light fixtures look! I am inspired and may have to start doing that in my home...soon!
Have a blessed week!

It looks great. I love the way you decorated it previously. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like this year.
And yes! Of course I know what Empanadas are. I love them. One of my fondest childhood memories are of my mom's empanadas de calabaza! My sister has made them several times but she's one of those cooks that just tosses stuff in, no recipe, no measuring...so I can't even offer you her recipe.
But I'm sure you will do well in making them. Let me know and if you are a recipe cook like me, I would love the recipe. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and thanks for coming by and commenting.
I am working on doing this same thing to my light fixtures! It looks so pretty!
That turned out gorgeous!! Very nice redo!
Love, love, love their new look Sandra! Awesome job. Oh and your chandelier is absolutely goregeous...Have a great new week my dear amiga and wishing you and all your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Besitos,
♥Ana
Meant to ask - Did you do anything to the metal before spray painting?
Thanks
Glenda
Oh my gosh, Sandra, that looks great! It looks like a totally different light fixture! I'm a big fan of ORB, too. I use it alot and I've come to realize that, besides black and Heirloom white, the ORB goes with stuff in any room in my house. I'll bet hubby was impressed with the new look for the cost of a spray can of paint!
Sandra, I gasped when I saw the after photo! Beautiful, just beautiful.
What a difference. It's so amazing what a $3.95 can of spray paint can do.
It looks really pretty, Sandra. I love it. I love your globes too.....Christine
Hi Sandra! Oh, it looks wonderful! I love it.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Soooo much better than the brass! Looks great! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
What a fabulous transformation! I love it.
We have switched out almost all of the brass in our house. I still have a few doorknobs to do and the front door handle. By the time I get it done everyone will probably want brass again:)
I love the change it made in your chandelier...so pretty!
Gorgeous! I love it in the darker shade..good for hubby too!!
Hi Sandra..
Love what you did with your brass lamps! I have a brass hanging lamp that is currently in the garage collecting dust, but I have been wanting to do something like what you did to yours! What was the name and brand of spray paint that you used if I may ask? They both look wonderful! Great job! Hugs!
Hi Sandra,
hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love what you did to the lights, the chandelier looks amazing.
Have a great week.
hugs
Denise
Sandra we have that same light hanging in the dinning room at our old house.
I like it but have been bugging hubby to let me paint it white ever since we moved in!
I love it in black too.
Smiles, Dolly
