From Brown to Red Picture Change and other changes…Plus my 100th follower giveaway!

Hey everyone! I hope y’all are having a wonderful Sunday!  I’ve been busy spring cleaning and can say that I am just about done!  I am finally going to have my 100th follower giveaway!  This is in appreciation of having 100 followers.  I see that I’m over 100 followers now.  I am really touched by all of you following along.  I am feeling the love!
1da230be5300bc4b7b455c5yf7

So in celebrating this, I am giving away a $25 gift card from Pier One.   I just might add a little gift to go with the gift card. :)

Drawing will be April the 6th because that is my birthday.  What better day than to have it right on my birthday? *wink*  I’d love for you to be a follower of my humble blog to enter.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Just leave a comment on this post if you’d like to enter.
I bought this picture from Hobby Lobby and the zebra print was in a brown as you can see in this picture.
Dream(before)

It wasn’t speaking to me.  Nothing wrong with it but I have so much brown in my living room.  So I opened up the frame and went to town with my little paint brush.   I used a deep red color and voila!! What do you think?
Dream (after)

Here it is in a grouping.  The picture below my “dream” frame, is from Kirkland’s.  The topper above the mirror, is from Hobby Lobby and it also had a paint change.  The wall color is called “Comforting” by Behr.
IMG_5629

This topper used to be a gold color so I used my handy dandy “Oil Rubbed Bronze” spray paint by Krylon.  After I spray painted it, I also used Rub and Buff to accentuate it even more. I took it down right quick to show you guys the details! See how special y’all are to me? *smile*  Oooh! Look at the detail on the cushion to my new sofas! :)  Pretty huh?
Oil Rubbed Bronze transformation

Can you see how Rub and Buff adds that little bit of color?  Love it!
Oil Rubbed Bronze transformation

And last but not least…..my wreath!
wreath

I added a wreath to the front of the mirror and look how the flowers coordinate with the picture, don’t you think?
IMG_5638

I’m not finished with this wall but so far I really like it! :)
IMG_5629

Melissa!  Oooh! I hope you are visiting blogs during your spring break.  Here is the plaque I bought after I saw yours!  See it?  (OOPS! I see the can of spray paint! I am  painting something in Pistachio and you can see my laptop on the wingback chair too!)
plaque used as topper

See it? :)
There's no place like home plaque

A little closer..  I love it! It adds that special touch!  “There’s no place like home.”  IMG_5656

The vignette you have created on your wall is just gorgeous. I really like all the different elements that you have pulled together and each one really does compliment the other. The red paint job you did is perfect and so is the Oil Rubbed Bronze. I have sprayed so many things that color that my husband says he is afraid to stand still. Your home is lovely.
What a fantastic giveaway also. I would love to be considered. Thanks. Hugs, Marty

Sandra, woohoo! I'm so proud of your milestone! Congratulations on having 100 followers. You deserve them all, my friend, and I'm happy for you! :-)

You've done a wonderful job with your living room, embuing it with all your special touches. I know you must love every bit of it! I love the new plaque with the Dorothy quote, and seeing your rub and buff, makes me want to try that. It adds just the right amount of snazziness.

You are so sweet to offer that gift card as a prize, and while I will be computerless on your birthday, I will still do my very best to get by and wish you a Happy Birthday. If something happens and I can't get by, please accept all my best wishes now for the best birthday ever!

Thank you so much for your prayers. I appreciate it more than you know.

Much love coming your way...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I would never have thought to paint the matting like that. These are just the kind of tips that I hate to miss and I'm certainly missing a lot of blog posts right now. I have my computer and WiFi...but no energy to do anything. It is slowly getting better. Thanks for your continued prayers for my mom. It really helps and congrats on all the followers!
