WILDSEED FARMS

Outdoor_Wednesday_logo

It’s Outdoor Wednesday.  Please visit the lovely Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ for more “Outdoor Wednesday” participants.

On our way back from Houston, we decided to visit Fredericksburg, Tx.  Fredericksburg is a little tourist town and we love spending time there.  We went to Wildseed Farms, a nursery right outside of Fredericksburg. http://www.wildseedfarms.com/ OMGosh!  It has acres and acres of flowers!   I almost jumped the fence to try to get closer!  JK.  Anyway, this is the entrance to a part of the nursery.  IMG_3751

I love all the different types of plants they have!IMG_3741

Some Crape Myrtles.IMG_3742

More Crape Myrtles!  I bought two of them for my yard!IMG_3743

I’d love to have rocks like these in my yard! IMG_3744

Another rock.IMG_3745

And yet another rock. :)IMG_3746

This is right outside to the entrance of the building. :)  Pretty!IMG_3747

And on to the acres of flowers!  There were tons of sunflowers!IMG_3754

A little bit more close to the sunflowers. :)IMG_3756

See what I mean?  Tons of flowers!IMG_3757

Such pretties!IMG_3758

More.  I would have liked to have gotten closer but there is a fence that keeps people from getting too close to the flowers. IMG_3764

I hope you all enjoyed the little tour of Wildseed Farms  If you are ever in the area of Fredericksburg, Tx, make sure to stop by this nursery. :)

Happy OW!

Sandra

Oh Sandra!
I believe that these flowers are God's way of painting us a picture of what we are to see someday. I love all of the colors and varieties you got to see. I especially loved the little bird houses that have the outline of the state of Texas as the opening for the little birds. So sweet. I too, loved the rocks. They are so wonderful for lanscaping. I would have hated to see what they cost, seeing the size that they were. The sunflowers were gorgeous. How beautiful to see fields grown like that. Must take an awful lot of water to keep them all happy. Thanks so much for sharing. I am so happy you liked the horse story. I can laugh now, I could laugh once I got off, because I knew in my mind, I would never ride again. Horseback riding is not going to be mu cup of tea. Have a wonderful day honey, and thanks so much for sharing. I love your little stop on the side of the road. Country Hugs and love, Sherry
