Hello to all my blogger friends! We are back from moving our oldest son to Houston! I have missed all of my blogger friends!!!
I gotta tell you that it’s tough. Mama has been shedding rivers of tears. I miss my boy and it has only been a couple of days. It’s so hard. I have to keep busy or I will go into this stage of sadness. I’m sure that every mama who has moved their child to another city because they are going into a new chapter in their life, totally understand where I’m coming from.
We attended his “White Coat Ceremony” last Wednesday and I have to tell you that it was fantastic! We are extremely proud of him! This is where the ceremony took place. This is the concert hall at Rice University.
And this is the inside. It is beeeaauuutiful! The entering class is seated up at the front on the balcony and they also had to sit at the bottom at the front there. It is a huge class!
The ceremony is very symbolic and no one is allowed to take pictures during the ceremony. We were allowed to take pictures before and after the ceremony.
Each student is called and then the doctors at the front of the stage put the coat on each student. After each student has their white coat on, they proceed to sign the book of hippocratic oath. The ceremony was all videotaped and we will have a chance to buy it!
And here is my son after the ceremony! Woohoo!!! We are proud of you son!!!
I hope everyone is doing great and I can’t wait to catch up on what everyone I follow has been up too!!!
Blessings,
Sandra

Wow! He looks like a doctor already. Oh! I hope you will see him often even though he's in another city.
Congrats to your son Sandra!
That is so wonderful. I know you are all so thrilled and happy!

You must certainly be proud. I had not heard of a white coat ceremony before. Sound like a fine idea to have the students dedicated from the start of their college career.
Congrats to your son. Yes, I can so relate having moved my oldest son to another city is hard. But it gives a chance to go visit and of course antique along the way. Have a great weekend, Theresa
