Outdoor Wednesday & One of my Meditations This Morning.

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!  HIS child, and forever, I am… (Fanny Crosby)

I enjoy listening to relaxing music like this as I work in my garden.   I can sit here and meditate and thank  my Heavenly FATHER for the blessings we are given.   Thank you  Heavenly Father!   Abba, I love you and wish to live a life that you want me to…..to be a vessel of your love.  I thank thee for every encouraging word I read from my blogger friends.  I pray that YOU guide me as I give encouraging words to my friends.  Amen.  Praises be to GOD forever and ever.

Please visit the Lovely Susan to see what the other participants are sharing on Outdoor Wednesday. :)

What Beauties!

Love has its source in GOD, For love is the very essence of HIS being.  (Kay Arthur)

Hello my blogger friends.  How is everything in your life?  I hope things are going good for everyone.

This morning, I enjoyed working in my yard as I always do.  It’s tough work but I really do enjoy it.  I feel such a connection to my flowers, my trees, even my soil.  I wonder why is that?  I think it’s because I  enjoy the delights that our Heavenly Father gives us.  Such magnificent work HE does!

I love the scent that the roses give.  Each are different but yet all invigorating.  IMG_3523

I think this lady really enjoys her new place in my garden.  :)IMG_3524 IMG_3527 IMG_3530

This is my statue of mother Mary  called “Our Lady of Lourdes”  Have you ever heard of the story of “Our Lady of Lourdes”?  You can read about Our Lady of Lourdes here.  http://www.catholic.org/clife/mary/lourdes1.phpIMG_3520

My roses are really enjoying the rain we’ve been having here lately.   I think I need to add more to this garden.  Maybe different colors of roses.  I’d like to add reds and other colors. :) IMG_3528

I hope everyone is having a delightful  Sunday.

Blessings,

Sandra

Outdoor Wednesday….My Hibiscus

Outdoor_Wednesday_logo

Hello!  Welcome to  “Outdoor Wednesday” hosted by the lovely Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer.

I have been really passionate here lately about Hibiscus.  I bought two tropical Hibiscus in red.  I also planted three hardy Hibiscus.  This afternoon I went to Lowes and bought another two hardy Hibiscus!  lol  I love the big and vibrant color of the flowers!  Look at these tropical Hibiscus.  IMG_3540

I can see myself in Hawaii where Hibiscus grow abundantly. :)  I can at least imagine I’m in Hawaii. :)IMG_3543IMG_3541IMG_3496

Look at this beauty!  This is a hardy Hibiscus.  I can just imagine how stunning they are going to be once these bushes fill up some more.  I planted the hardy Hibiscus in the ground since these will come back.IMG_3497

And these are the two that I just bought this afternoon at Lowes.  I’m getting ready to plant them. :)  Aren’t they pretty?   They are also hardy Hibiscus so these will be planted in the ground.  IMG_3547IMG_3550IMG_3549

So did you feel like you were in Hawaii?   I truly wish I was. :)  I hope you all have a lovely Outdoor Wednesday.

Blessings,

Sandra

Today’s Thrifty Treasures.

SouthernHospThriftyTreasurescopy Hello!  Welcome to Today’s Thrifty Treasures.   Be sure to visit Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for more Today's Thrifty Treasures participants.

My oldest son and I spent some quality time together yard saling!  How cute and funny!  I was planning on going by myself but he wanted to go as well.   I thought it would be fun to take him with me.   We will be moving him soon for medical school so what better way than to spend time with mama. :)  So anyway, we stopped at Starbucks and I got my Cafe Mocha coffee.  I always splurge on a coffee when I go to yard sales.  hee hee!  We  went to a sale and found these lovely egg cups.  She sold them to me for $3.00 for all.   I thought it was a good price.  IMG_3466IMG_3468

Look at this precious pitcher.  :)  I bought it for $2.00. :)IMG_3467

Aren’t these birdhouses pretty?  I bought them for .50 cents each!  I’m planning on making them into birdhouses with stands.    I hope it is not a hard project. :)IMG_3475

These linens are beautiful!  The lady who sold the pitcher and egg cups to me also sold these to me.  She said that they are very old.  Well she sold them all for $1.00!  For all of them! :)IMG_3472IMG_3473

IMG_3474 There are 4 pieces of each design.  All for a $1.o0!

And this little table.  As you can see, I’m going to paint it!  It’s new color will be white and I’m going to distress it too.  I think it’ll look pretty.  I’ll eventually have to paint the black chair, don’t you think?  lolIMG_3478

I hope you guys visit Rhoda’s blog  Southern Hospitality and see what everyone else purchased!

Blessings,

Sandra

Flaunt your Red!

flaunt_thumb[1] Hello! Please visit http://southernlady-nancy.blogspot.com/2009/06/meet-gloria.html to see what the other participants are showing us today!

Well today I’d like to flaunt my purse. :)    IMG_3156

I bought these from Hobby Lobby and they were a brass color.  I thought it would be better to paint them white and I’m glad I did!  I know they’re not red but the background of where i placed them is red.  :)  my red fireplace. :)IMG_3489

Don’t they just pop in the white against the red?  I love’em!!  IMG_3492

I hope everyone has a lovely Flaunt Your Red kind of day!

Three Icons Have Passed

First Ed McMahon,mcmahon-208x300

the beautiful Farrah Fawcett farrah_fawcett0

and now Michael Jackson.  I’m in shock here just watching the news to find out that Michael died from a cardiac arrest.  I remember having posters of him all over my bedroom walls when I was a teenager.  So sad.

Outdoor Wednesday….Bouquets of Roses and Precious Stones.

Hello!  Welcome to  “Outdoor Wednesday” hosted by the lovely Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer.

Outdoor_Wednesday_logo

I apologize for running a little late with Outdoor Wednesday.  I have been running around working in my yard.  So as I was working in my yard, my twins and 11 yr old gathered some stones up for me.  I think they are like mama.  They look at the beauty of things even in stones.  Are these pretty?IMG_3440

I worked on my rose bushes.  They took a lot of beating from the hail storm we had a couple of weeks ago.  Anyone else in Texas have hailstorms?  I pruned all of my rose bushes because some looked scraggly (is that word?) and some were really overgrown.  I put these roses in vases and brought them inside. :)IMG_3448

See the stones? :)IMG_3446

I hope everyone has a lovely Outdoor Wednesday! At least what’s left of this day. :)
