Yummy Smoothie!

At least that is what I am telling myself.  I have decided to eat more veggies and fruits and what better way than to make smoothies.  I have also decided to include beets in my smoothies because they are healthy and very good for you.   Beets have a taste that is definitely acquired over time though.  If you’ve never eaten beets, it is better to start slowly.  Beet juice is EXTREMELY strong and powerful!  Beet juice is so potent that it may cause some dizziness during cleansing as toxins are being eliminated.

I added spinach leaves, one beet, two oranges, one apple, and a handful of blueberries. :)   I just found out that I can add carrots to make the smoothie have a milder taste. I will definitely do that next time.

So here’s to our health.   “Clink Clink” IMG_4909

Well now, that is an ingredient I have not thought about sneaking into my smoothies. Great idea. I am going to try that.

Thanks for sharing!

Is is that pink/red from one beet? I like smoothies and its a great way to get veggies if you don't like to eat them, but I don't think I could do the beets. However, I know they are super nutritional. I have a friend with a 3 year old who hates veggies. My friend bought a book, cannot remember the name by its by Jerry Seinfield's wife and its about purred veggies "hidden" in other foods. She made "pink pancakes" for her daughter with pureed beets and something else in the batter and her daughter loved them. Anyway, Good for you! I admire your healty desires.
