Tobacco Road Paint.

MiniWoohoo7 Hello!  There is a new party called Woohoo Wednesday hosted by Marla at Always Nesting! Y’all visit her blog and hopefully join us for Woohoo Wednesday!

powerofpaintbutton I am also joining http://www.domestically-speaking.com/ and Power of Paint

TTbutton and Transformation Thursday at The Shabby Chic Cottage.

Please visit all of these great blogs to view other participants joining in these great memes.

I had been looking for that perfect shade of paint for our living room for a while now.  The paint we had on our walls is called Comforting by Behr.  You can see in this picture what Comforting looks like compared to Tobacco Road.

I edited to add that the color Tobacco Road is not a Behr paint. It is a a Duron paint but you can have it mixed at Home Depot.  Here is the formula in case you are interested. :)  This is the formula for a quart.

and this is the formula for  a gallon.

I really wanted a deeper color full of warmth.  I thought about painting a shade of green but when I saw this paint color called Tobacco Road, I immediately knew this was the color for me.  My sweet hubby didn’t think it was going to match the carpet we have or the shade I painted our fireplace.  In case you’re wondering what I am talking about, Here is the link for my fireplace makeover.

Look at the after pictures! I am in love with this color! It gives off such a warm feeling.  It is like a tannish (is that a word?) gold color.  So pretty!

There is a lot of light coming in thru the window because I took off the blinds to clean them.  I apologize for the glare on that picture.

Oh I love it!  I can’t stop staring at my walls! ha ha!

It makes everything just “pop” on the walls!

So here I am jumping on the bandwagon of Tobacco Road fans.  I love this color and I told hubby that I am so happy with this color that I won’t be changing the color again.  He didn’t believe me.  (rolling my eyes)  Seriously though, I am so happy with this color!

I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Woo Hoo! Sandra!!! I love it. It's the perfect color. I'm so glad you linked - I was wondering if maybe you didn't have time to finish the painting. I was ready to drive to Texas, take some pictures, and link for you :) Don't make me go looking for you, lol!

Thank you so much for adding your beautiful home to Woo Hoo! Wednesday.

I think it looks SO good, Sandra. I can see why you're thrilled! It is warm, and it looks good with your things. Love it!

Hope to see you soon, or as soon as the workmen finish and leave. I'm still tied up with men, and I hope it won't be for much longer. They hit snags they are trying to iron out. Hopefully soon and very soon.

XO,

Sheila :-)
